Speaking of Dream World
We arrived at my parents' home on Friday afternoon and have been having a blast ever since.
I've been scrapbooking.
Staying up entirely too late but I just can't help myself.
Jackson's been playing with his trains.
NON-STOP. His conductor outfit includes Thomas undies.
Maddie's been baking with Gobbie.
Dirt cake in a pot. Definitely looked like dirt ... and perhaps tasted a bit like dirt, too.
And she's been crafting at her very own craft table. We've been reading "Box Car Children" after supper each evening. We're reading one that has a mystery from the Victorian Era and because of this, Maddie desperately wanted her own blouse AND long skirt.
SO ....
Mom just sewed two long skirts for Maddie. In about half an hour. Like, it was no big deal. She just thought she'd whip up a couple of skirts. What's next? Her prom dress?
Dad continues to be reader extraordinaire. We're all very thankful that Jackson ONLY wants Grandpa to read to him.
This morning, before church, I caught Dad reading Thomas to Jackson. And to think that Dad's a preacher and he wasn't reading the Bible to Jackson on a Sunday. Tsk. Tsk.
We're heading to a real live Canadian beef farm on Tuesday.
Stay tuned for those adventures.
In the meantime, I must go scrap!
