Living Life To The Fullest | Chicagoland Family Photographer | Water Street Dreams
You know those people
that just live life?
They say yes to fun experiences.
They celebrate all the things.
As in,
all.of.the.things.
They have traditions year after year
and they actually remember to do those traditions.
They wear the fun costumes
and throw the fun parties.
They look down and have 7 neighborhood kids
at their table because,
why not, life's too short,
there's always room for one more person.
Share the stuff.
Make the play dough.
Do the science experiment.
Dance on the patio.
Jump in the pool.
Ice cream at midnight?
Heck ya!
Hands down,
that's the epitome of the O'Hearn/Wilcox family.
They.are.FUN.
They play.
They tease.
They laugh.
Becky, as a complete aside,
you are SO fun to photograph.
Your varied expressions are a riot
and I don't think you take a bad photo.
Like, seriously.
Not a bad photo!
You're beautiful - like gorgeous beautiful -
and I hope you know that!
And what makes you even more beautiful
is the reality that you're beautiful on the inside, too,
which just spills on over to the outside.
Your heart is full of compassion.
You love your family SO deeply.
You love your friends.
You think the best about people.
You're sassy and happy and fun
and you're just one of those people that
make a significant impact on a WHOLE lot of people.
You make the world a better place,
you really really do!
A few years have passed since our last session together,
so it was fun to have them back in front of my lens.
Oh this little mister.
He was NOT havin' it the first 15 minutes of our session.
A hard nut to crack but eventually
I wore him down,
and he warmed up,
as I knew he would!
Oh does he have personality.
And big brother Jack is in 6th grade.
A student. An athlete. All around fun kid.
And a whole lot of mischievous.
Look at that grin!
And Alice.
How can you POSSIBLY be in 4th grade already?
I remember when you were born.
You are smart and fun and full of joy and
you certainly hold your own with your brothers.
Mamas and their babies.
Candid love.
I could do this
ALL.DAY.LONG.
And dads and moms.
There's not a dad on the planet
that doesn't love when I say,
"Alright fella, give your lady a great big hug and kiss."
Sibling love.
Mom child tenderness.
Daddy/daughter love.
I promise you Jamie
that in 50 years,
Alice will look at this image
and remember the amazing childhood she experienced.
This image will transport her back to
your squeeze,
and your laugh,
and she'll be reminded that without a doubt,
her daddy was crazy over her.
And THAT is a beautiful legacy to give.
Daughters desperately need their dads.
And this Mister Mister.
His mission?
Take a running jump right in front of my camera at random times.
He made me chuckle.
And the fun thing was,
after he jumped on through my shot
I was able to get some fabulous shots of his
parents laughing,
which just helped me all the more.
Maybe I'll hire him for all my shoots?
Jack, you're fun and I like that about you!
Becky and Jamie,
thanks for hiring me to capture your love this fall.
It was my great delight to spend an hour together!
Your love for each other is authentic and real and beautiful!
