Franklin with Aunt Bobbie

Every time I've ever come to Nashville (probably 1/2 dozen times now), I make my way out to the quaint downtown of Franklin, Tennessee. Honestly, more for the ride out there along the winding country roads than for the actual town, however the town is delightful too. Don't get me wrong. It's beautiful. And for me, it's so hard to fathom being in a city and within minutes, finding yourself on these AMAZING roads with AMAZING views of mountains and hills and fields.

I invited Aunt Bobbie along for a few hours of fun ... and that we had. Aunt Bobbie is not technically an aunt, but rather a cousin of mine ... she's my mom's first cousin ... which what does that make her to me? Quick, someone figure that out. {2nd cousin, or 1st cousin once removed? I don't know. See, that's why I just call her Aunt, because that's what she is!}

Anyway, she's so much like my mom and my Aunt Shirley. Fun. Easy to be with. Easy to converse with. I don't know her all that well but we've gotten to know one another over the last several years.

So we shopped and wandered and she treated me to a yummy meal at Merridee's in downtown Franklin.
And then, we got busy doing projects. And it was so fun to learn that Aunt Bobbie is just as project oriented as myself, my mom and my Aunt Shirley. Must be the DePoyster in us. Family ties. I love that!
I had my list of places to hit for Naomi errands, so she drove, the GPS got us where we needed to go, and we got a tonne done.
Thanks, Aunt Bobbie. For taking the day to visit. For driving me hither and yon doing wedding stuff. For being the fun-loving auntie that you are!
