Play Dates
During the first visit, Triston was at school so little Jackson was devastated that his "best buddy" wasn't there. He just could not believe it. Wailing and gnashing of teeth. Not joking.
But, this past week he was there and it was cute. It took them a bit to warm up to each other. The park was so huge {our fave, the rocket ship park} that they'd get separated and then Jackson would run over in tears, saying that Triston wasn't his friend. Oh boy.
And then, there's little Caden. Oh mercy. Talk about cute. Just a sampling of his deliciousness below:
And Grayson.
He's doing so well. Honestly, his grin lights up the entire house. I'm not kidding. You look at him and you just want to smile.
What a little bright spot. His cancer is in remission. So that is amazing. He is still doing weekly chemo visits, which is hard and exhausting for Sara. But she is a picture of strength. How she does it with a newborn on top of it all, I do not know. An inspiration to me, for sure.
And here's Becky and her sweet kids: Alice is a little ham, wearing her sunglasses upside down and lovin' it. And Jack, oh mercy he's a cutie. Look at him. And as we left Jackson was very upset that he didn't get to say goodbye to Jack. And he wants a playdate with Triston and Jack. Soon. "So we can play together Mommy." Okay, bud. We can do that because I happen to like hangin' out with their mommies so that's called a win-win little man.
I was so proud of Maddie. She was little miss babysitter. She entertained the kids, picking them up, chasing them around, playing pretend. It was really sweet to watch. She's growing up, right before my very eyes.
And alas, the tears flowed when Jackson had to say goodbye to Triston. Didn't want the fun to end.
And neither did we. Thanks Sara and Becky for enjoyable play dates. Friendship is a great, GREAT thing!
