Verb-ing It In Canada
*I started this post over a week ago ... but am just getting around to adding the pictures. Sorry for the delay!
I do LOVE Canada. The air is fresher. The pace is slower. The smells and sounds are familiar. Just feels good to go home. I love that international bridge landmark. The one where half way across I yell back to the kids, "We're in Canada now!" {And if Jack is in the car he then says he wants to point out a few things.}
So we had a great time. Minus the puking bit. Here's a pictorial recap:
Puking on Thursday {Jackson only.} And thankfully, no pictures.
Bowling Friday morning {Mom, Maddie and Jackson all beat me. I came in last. Beaten by my 7 and 3 year olds. That.doesn't.seem.right.}
Swimming Friday afternoon {This was an act of love on my part, if I do say so myself. Wet and cold for an hour, but it was so much fun.}
Olympic-ing Friday night {Maddie got to stay up late for the Opening Ceremonies.}
Exercis-ing {Mom got me two passes to the local YMCA so I went on Thursday and Saturday which has been great. Helpful so that I stay on track with my eating and exercising.}
Antique-ing {I got lost for an hour in Eclectic Treasures, a huge antique store here in St. Marys. Found this wonderful little treasure for my scrapbook room. It makes me oh.so.happy.
Together-ing. {Just being with mom makes me happy. Content. Cared for. Loved. Cherished. Valued. Encouraged.}
Spoil-ing. {That's what Mom and Dad did the entire time we were home. I needed this little getaway. Did the soul good.}

Craft-ing {Mom is so good about having little crafts to do for the kids. Coloring was a big hit with Jackson this time.} {lovin'.the.chubby.fingers.and.how.he's.holding.the.crayon. Just looks a bit painful, doesn't it?}
Sew-ing {Maddie made a skirt for a little girl in Africa. Mom and Dad's church is very missions minded and they make little skirts to send to Africa several times a year. And so Mom taught Maddie how to sew. And I think she's really good at it; comes by it naturally with Gobbie's amazing sewing abilities. I frantically searched my attic for my sewing machine because I want Mom to re-teach me. Notice the {re} on that. The hard part being threading the needle and adding thread to the bobbin, that little irritation. But couldn't find the pedal and cord so alas, that will have to wait until next visit.} The finished product:
