Trainin' It Downtown
80 degrees. SUNNY. Did I mention 80 degrees? So that can only mean one thing. Downtown we go.
I think it's safe to say that being downtown, in our great city, is one of our favorite family things to do. We love it. Just wandering, happening upon cool things to look at or fun things to do.We're at a new milestone. This year, Maddie has lots of energy to be able to scooter with us, while Jackson goes in the jogging stroller. So we can actually walk at a nice clip, covering more territory!
Being her mother's daughter, she couldn't leave home without some sort of project, so the little bag she's carrying has her knitting projects. Not one, but two. My kind of girl!
We grabbed Chinese to go and ate in this park. What a treat to not have to cook. LOVE IT.
I love this next one. Not sure why, other than I think stripes are fun! And I love that I saw them and used the in the photo - they weren't an accident - i purposely got down low and captured them in the picture.
This next one is, I think, my absolute favorite of the whole batch. I love seeing him scoot along - lighting was perfect. Love it. See his scooter shadow? I just love it. I love the motion and the concentration on his little face. And the determination. he kept wiping out and he really didn't cry and just got back on and did it again. {And Maddie knitted in the stroller! That's a win-win.}
Beautiful ... hello perfect lighting, one hour before sunset. Wow it does make a huge difference.
And so by the time we were headed back to the train, the night lights were on and God was painting the sky orange.
