Update on Mr. Dad In The Park

Okay, so there I was TODAY, at the rocket ship park and I see him. It was really HIM. Mr. Dad in the Park. This one. I was with my friend May and I said, "Quick. Do you have a pen and paper? Because that's the man. I need his correct email address."

Of course, she had no idea what I was talking about but she rummaged through her purse and found both pen and paper. It's a good thing she was there!

And so, I practically ran up to him and stuck out my hand and said, "Remember me? I'm the one that took pictures of you and your girls a few weeks ago. And I tried to email you and it came back undeliverable and the pictures turned out great and I was so disappointed that I didn't get your email right because I wanted you to see the pictures because they turned out great." Whew. Yes, it was a run-on sentence. I think I was making him nervous.

And so he looked at me and I saw the light bulb go on. "Oh yes, I do remember you now." And so I thrust the pen and paper in his hand and said, "Can you write down your proper email so I can send you the pictures? I think you'll really enjoy them!"

And he was brave and wrote down his email. And I thanked him. And I said, "Goodbye," and turned and walked away.

WHIRLWIND. Whew. Mission accomplished. Got the email.

Kinda crazy that I found him in a city of 7 plus million people or something like that. And so now, I'm going to stop blogging and start emailing him those great pics!

I sure hope he enjoys.

(And, since writing this post I heard back from him. He loved them and had already forwarded them to his relatives in Poland. How cool is that! I hope they get a glimpse into the cool dad that he is. Maybe it'll make his parents proud to see him interact with his daughters, loving them, embracing them, playing with them.)

I'm just so glad that I bumped into him again!
